Platini is bad for Fifa – Prince Ali

Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein has warned Michel Platini would not change the culture of corruption at Fifa if he were elected the governing body’s new president.

Prince Ali ran unsuccessfully against Sepp Blatter at May’s presidential elections, but is in the frame once again following the Swiss’ decision to step down in the face of intense scrutiny into the practices at world football’s governing body.

Blatter’s decision to leave his role followed the indictment of 14 individuals, including nine past and present Fifa officials, on charges of racketeering conspiracy and corruption.

Is Platini the right man to reform Fifa?

Michel Platini could not have a chosen a more challenging and difficult moment to reach out for the most important administrative role in world football.

Uefa approves changes to FFP rules

Uefa has updated its Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules in a bid to make clubs more attractive to new investors and improve competition.

FFP was introduced as a way of preventing clubs from spending beyond their means and curbing huge losses, with fines imposed on those found in breach and some clubs receiving bans from Uefa competitions.
